Wayne graduated from Michigan State University with B.A.degree in Accounting and spent several years practicing as a certified public accountant. He attended law school at the University of Detroit and later obtained an L.L.M. in taxation from University of Florida. Wayne’s practice experience focuses primarily on closely held businesses addressing general business issues, tax planning and analysis, succession planning, and estate planning. Wayne served a five year term as managing partner of his firm. That experience highlighted for him the unique management challenges facing law firms. As a business lawyer, these challenges are central to his thinking. It is with this perspective that he helped create the ProLegal team.
Doug Poland | ProLegal Principal
Doug specializes in real estate law and currently serves on his firm’s Technology Committees. With a B.S degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University and as a visionary in the use of technology to improve the quality and efficiency of the practice of law, Doug brings a unique set of skills to the ProLegal Systems team. Doug graduated cum laude from Wayne State Law School in Detroit Michigan. He is currently involved in various non-profit organizations and real estate industry organizations. Doug has previously served on his firm’s management committee and is a current member of the Management Core Group and the Technology Core Group of the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association.
Cyndy Walsh | Chief Executive Officer
Cyndy is one of the founding partners of our parent company, ProCare Systems. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and over 30 years experience in corporate development and management. Under Cyndy’s leadership, ProCare continues to develop, grow and manage many successful medical practices. This same expertise continues to drive the development of ProLegal.
Tim Buursma | Vice President of Corporate Development
Tim has more than 20 years of both management and marketing/sales experience. His focus has been on operational excellence, service to clients/customers and business growth and development. Tim received his degree from Hope College in Holland, MI and is trained in Six Sigma. He has developed proven systems to capture business performance measures on a timely basis which allow managers and marketing departments to make informed strategic business decisions.
Jerimie Ike | Director of Operations
Jerimie has 15 years of leadership experience to accompany his degree in Business Management. He delivers expertise in developing, implementing and managing proven systems. He has led teams at many levels to include large geographies and personnel in excess of 250 individuals. His skill sets make him very versatile in understanding the business principles and organizational structure needed to operate in a professional environment. Jerimie is a member of the American Bar Association’s Practice Management and General Practice/Small Firm sections.
Chris Cubbage | IT Director
Chris has over 20 years experience in Information Technology. He combines a high level of technical expertise with a strong management background. He understands the importance of a solid IT infrastructure as well how IT aligns with business strategies. Chris has a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Grand Valley State University.
Michael Batts | Director of Finance
Michael has an MBA from Western Michigan University and 10 years experience in a senior financial management role. He brings expertise in business planning and forecasting, cash management, financial reporting, risk management, and key relationships with financial institutions.
